Q: WHAT IS ENERGETIC HEALING?

It is a gentle yet powerful healing technique that channels universal life energy through my hands to promote balance, relaxation, and overall wellness. At the core of my practice, I blend traditional Reiki with guided meditation and vibrational healing techniques, creating a uniquely comprehensive approach to energy work.

 

This holistic methodology works with your body's natural energy flow to release blockages, reduce stress, and activate your innate healing abilities. Through my integrated sessions, I incorporate sound frequencies and mindful breathing alongside light, non-invasive touch, fostering a deeply restorative experience that addresses physical discomfort while nurturing emotional and spiritual well-being.

Q: WHAT IS REIKI?

Reiki is based on the idea that vital energy flows through your body. A Japanese man named Mikao Usui developed reiki in the 1920s. The term comes from two Japanese words: “Rei,” which means universal, and “ki,” which loosely translates to a lifeforce of energy. It is a gentle and non-invasive form of energy healing that promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and helps to balance the body's energy centers. A Reiki practitioner uses gentle touch -- or places their hands just above your body -- to help guide this energy in a way that promotes balance and healing. 

Q: WHAT KIND OF ISSUES DOES REIKI HELP WITH?

Reiki can be used to address a wide range of physical, emotional, and spiritual issues, including stress, anxiety, pain, fatigue, and more. It promotes overall physical and emotional well-being and can be used to complement traditional medical treatments.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS DURING A SESSION?

Before our Reiki session, I will inquire about any particular issues you would like to address and get to know you a bit. Then you will lie fully clothed on a massage table. I begin with asking you to take a few deep, relaxing breaths before the session starts. A typical session runs about 60 minutes during which I gently place my hands on or slightly above your body as I travel from head to toes (or toes to head) with the intention of moving energy. 

Q: WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT TO FEEL DURING A SESSION?

During the session, you may feel a sense of warmth or tingling as the energy flows through your body. Most people find Reiki to be deeply relaxing and calming. In other areas, you might not notice anything at all. Even if you come in with a particular problem area, you may experience a sense of relaxation that affects your whole body. You might even fall asleep during the session! 

Q: HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR A REIKI SESSION

I ask that you not use any recreational drugs 24 hours prior to our session. Clients should come dressed in comfortable clothing (no belts or buckles). I ask that you remove all jewelry prior before we begin.

Q: HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER MY SESSION

Every experience is unique to that person. Your experience can vary from session to session. Many of my clients report feeling a sense of calm and bliss, some drift in and out of consciousness during our session. Others report reduced pain or a clearer mind. Sometimes old symptoms or emotions can resurfacing as a type of “healing reaction”, not to worry, these pass quickly as the energy shifts.

Q: WHAT ELSE CAN REIKI HELP WITH?

Stress Reduction: Reiki promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and encourages a sense of calm and inner peace.

Pain Management: Reiki can help manage pain, including chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, migraines, and back pain, by promoting relaxation and supporting the body's natural healing processes.
